Adobe Creative Suite beginners course requirements
You should have good computer skills. Some previous knowledge of design
software would be an advantage though not essential.
This course is suitable for someone who has little or no desktop publishing and design skills and would like to be able to learn all the basics necessary to start creating complete desktop publishing documents and designs.
Adobe Creative Suite course for beginners
Course will usually be organised like so:
1 day Photoshop Introduction
How to use the main tools and features of Photoshop
How to resize images and set the correct resolution, cropping an image,
adjusting brightness and contrast, saving in the correct format, creating
simple designs with pictures and text
1 day Illustrator Introduction
How to use the main tools and features of Illustrator
Creating shapes and basic artwork, using text, using colours, creating
simple artwork
1 day Adobe InDesign Introduction
Page setup, using text and pictures, using colours, basic page layout and
design
Basics of typography - formatting text: indents, leading,
kerning, etc.
Create some typical documents relevant to the work you are
doing.
Using artwork from Illustrator and Photoshop in you DTP documents.

The course will be partly based around working with your own documents and designs.
Further training is recommended in most cases, you may need a further 1 - 3 days training, depending on specific requirements and the type of work you want to do with the software.
A 5 day Adobe creative suite course is available with intermediate as well as beginners Adobe Creative Suite training.
This Adobe Creative Suite course is available onsite in Birmingham and
surrounding Midlands areas, including Solihull. Bromsgrove, Redditch and
Worcester.
Adobe Creative Suite 2 or Adobe Creative Suite 3 training is available for one or two
people at our premises in Cofton Hackett (South Birmingham).
It may be
possible to arrange for another trainer to provide training
onsite (at your premises) in other areas of the UK. Please ask for more
details.
