3 day beginners course for Adobe Creative Suite 3 (Web Edition). The course will give an overview of the main features of each program and techniques used in web site design.
Introduction to designing a small web site with Adobe Dreamweaver.
Designing buttons and web graphics, and resizing and optimising photographs
with Fireworks and/or Photoshop.
Creating simple animation and banner ads in Fireworks.
Creating simple animation and a small presentation with Flash.
Customised courses and shorter or longer courses are available if required.

Numbers: One to one or small groups of up
to 4.
Trainees in a group should have the same skill level and the same requirements.

1) At client's site in Birmingham, Midlands and around the UK.
Course Requirements:
It is assumed that you already have good general computer skills, including
file management. Some basic knowledge of web design or HTML would be helpful,
as would some basic knowledge of image editing and graphics software, although
these are not essential.

Day 1 - Adobe Dreamweaver
how to organise the files in your web site
designing a simple web page
using tables to layout a page
adding images and text
formatting text with CSS
using behaviours to create mouseovers buttons
image maps and creating hotspots
making links to other web pages and documents
adding an e-mail link
file management and file types
basic HTML editing and code recognition
build a small web site or 3 - 5 pages
* optional - only if time is available:
creating a simple page template or using library items for a navigation bar may be covered, as well as the areas above.
Day 2 - Adobe Fireworks and / or Adobe Photoshop
vector graphics & creating artwork (FW)
text and text formatting
bitmap images and image editing
image resizing and colour correction
designing web page buttons
creating a simple banner or header design with images/logo and text
creating a simple animation (FW )
image optimisation and saving images for web sites
file formats - gif and jpg
saving a graphic with areas of transparency
* some areas can only be fully covered in Fireworks (FW) and not in Photoshop.
Day 3 - Adobe Flash
painting and drawing tools, and using colours
creating and formatting text
using photographs
shape changing (morphing)
animating movement of shapes, images or text
using the timeline
adding interactivity
adding sound effects
basic scripting
exporting your flash animation & placing into a web page
Further training is available if required.
Adobe Creative Suite 3 training is available on-site in Birmingham and
Midlands areas including Solihull, Redditch, Bromsgrove
and Worcester.
On-site training can also be organised with trainers around the UK.
